Trainings
As the membership association for CACs throughout Texas, CACTX is dedicated to enhancing the capabilities of those individuals and agencies who work with child abuse victims within a CAC setting. We are the central resource for information, technical assistance and training support. To help ensure the success of local CACs, CACTX offers the following program services:
- Multidisciplinary team (MDT) training for child abuse professionals, including law enforcement investigators, prosecutors, child protective services investigators, and medical and mental health professionals;
- Forensic interviewer training and peer review;
- Family advocate training and peer review;
- Comprehensive programming to support trauma-informed, evidenced-based mental health and intervention services to CAC clients across the state; and
- On-site, customized training for Boards of Directors.
