Translator (Austin)

Center for Child Protection is currently accepting applications for a Translator position. The Translator would be responsible for providing translation between English and Spanish to help support the Travis County Child Protection Team during the investigation and prosecution of crimes involving children. Responsibilities include translating and transcribing audio/visual recordings and written documents from Spanish to English and/or English to Spanish, creating and maintaining written documentation of translations, and assisting with in-person interpretation for Center staff and agency partners as needed. Requirements include a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, certification by the Texas Judicial Branch as a Court Interpreter (English/Spanish), and at least three years’ experience in interpreting or translating. Ideal candidates would be able to work with diverse groups in possibly stressful settings.
