There will be a simultaneous launch of 479 kites to represent child abuse victims in Fort Bend, in addition to free activities including parachute kite races, child abuse prevention education, children's activities, motorcycle display and kite exhibition. Free kites will be given to the first 400 attendees.
The event is a partnership of the Fort Bend County Child Welfare Board, DFPS Child Protective Services, Child Advocates of Fort Bend, Depelchin Children's Center, Bikers Against Child Abuse, Fort Bend Rainbow Room, Oak Bend Medical Center, Exchange Club and South Houston Area Recreational Kiters.
