Training Courses
A nationally and internationally-recognized conference with expected attendance of 2,800 professionals from the fields of law enforcement, prosecution, child protective services, social work, children's advocacy, therapy, and medicine who work directly with child victims of abuse.

April is Child Abuse Awareness month. As a tribute, the Hill Country Children's Advocacy Center, in collaboration with the Child Protection Team, will present a free, half-day training seminary entitled "Child Victim Advocacy" on Tuesday, April 15th. At the Burnet Community Center.
Participants may choose to attend the morning session from 8:30am - noon or the afternoon session from 1 - 4:30pm.
Featured speakers include Bill Richardson, Burnet Assistant County Attorney, and Kathy Dixon, the Victim Coordinator with the District Attorney's Victim Services Division in Burnet.

This training is specifically designed for child interviewers who are proficient in Spanish and conduct some or all of their interviews in Spanish. The instruction will be presented in both English and Spanish, while small group work and discussions will be conducted in Spanish only. Background of interviewers may be law enforcement, child protective services, or employees of Children's Advocacy Centers.

A facilitator is a representative whom organizations send to be trained on how to implement the Stewards of Children program. This facilitator may provide the training within a specific organization and/or in the broader community.
