Children's Advocacy Centers of Texas, Inc. (CACTX) is the statewide membership association, representing all local children's advocacy centers (CACs) in the Lone Star State. Founded in 1994 with a membership of 13 local centers, today the CACTX membership roster includes 64 developing and established centers in large urban cities as well as in small rural communities. Our membership reflects the vast diversity of Texas, all with their own unique approaches to fulfilling our shared mission of protecting and providing for children. CACTX offices are located in the Beth C. Swalm Center in Austin, Texas, adjacent to the CACTX Conference Center where specialized CAC trainings are offered throughout the year.

Services
Children's Advocacy Centers of Texas provides specialized training, technical assistance, funding and a myriad of other support services including local center site visits, a web-based case tracking system, a resource library, director mentor program and networking opportunities, non-profit management resource materials, and more.

Statewide Statistics
A Children's Advocacy Center is the ONE non-profit to serve as the first stop for children entering the justice system because of suspected sexual abuse, for serious physical abuse, and for children who have witnessed a violent crime… and last year almost 40,000 children received critical services at a Texas CAC.

Our Staff
As a membership organization, Children's Advocacy Centers of Texas employs a staff of experienced professionals dedicated to serving the needs of its member centers, including advocacy, collaboration, funding, networking, evaluation and assessment, training and technical assistance, and more. Staff members bring a wealth of experience and knowledge from the non-profit management field and, in many instances, from having previously worked at local children's advocacy centers throughout the state.
